An Evening of Appalachian Tales – 7:30 p.m. Saturday, August 22nd. Old time music and dance. Toe-tapping songs and Appalachian storytelling. Grab a seat, sit a spell, and enjoy the view for an evening of mountain music, story, dancing and more. From moonshine to mountain laurel, trails to turnpikes, drum beat to banjos, Cherokee to shamrocks, Chunky Gal and Hanging Dog to Brasstown Bald and back again, you’ll enjoy the magic. Young and old storytellers, writers, poets, and singer/songwriters take the stage!Â
The SCRIBES ON STAGE series captures the magic of the mountains and talented area performers: playwrights, poets, writers, storytellers, singer/song writers and musicians—a wide cast of characters, both amateur and experienced. You’ll enjoy these fun, entertaining performances.Â
